Choose one of the three hiking tours.

Tour 1: Bastei (a rock formation)

level of difficulty: easy (duration: approximately 2 to 3 hours)

From the health resort of Rathen, you will walk in the direction of the Amselsee (a small reservoir)  and from there you will go to the Bastei and the Bastei Bridge. After enjoying this view, you can visit the historical Felsenburg (rock castle) next door. After, you will go downhill back to the health resort of Rathen.

Tour 2: Bastei and the Rauensteine

level of difficulty: intermediate (duration: approximately 3 to 4 hours)

This  is an impressive tour with some rocks and many stunning photo motifs. From the health resort of Rathen, you will walk uphill to the summit plateau of the Rauensteine. Following this climb, you will have an amazing view of the Königstein Fortress on the one side and the Bastei as well as the Bastei Bridge on the other side of the Elbe river. The intertwined path across the ridge offers even more gorgeous views. If you still feel like hiking after descending, you can go on the ferry with us and cross the Elbe river. From the small idyllic town of Wehlen, we will again go uphill to the famous Bastei.

Tour 3: Schrammsteine

level of difficulty: difficult/free from dizziness (duration: approximately 5 to 6 hours)

The walking tour in the region of the Schrammsteine is one of the most popular paths and is  a very special adventure. The tour offers some challenges which will be rewarded with fascinating and diverse nature and captivating  panoramic outlooks over the Saxon Switzerland. These complex solid rocks are a real paradise for both hikers and climbers offering sufficient variety and a lot to discover. Therefore, this tour will not be boring at all. It is very important to wear sturdy and comfortable shoes and bring something to eat and drink!
